Cherry Bomb Red
We received an inquiry from Petr in the Czech Republic. Petr is a fire performer and wanted a custom flamethrower for his performances. He requested a custom lighter red than the typical Lava Red that we sell.
We offer multiple types of services to customers to get their unique flamethrower they desire. From wraps and paint, but one we like doing is dying the plastic shell. It is permanent, is harder to scratch off, and cannot peel.
The process begins with a white Not A Flamethrower and a bottle of the dye of choice. We typically use the brand Rit for this process. Petr requested a lighter red, so we used Cherry Red.
Boiling water is mixed with the dye, and after cleaning the parts they are then given a soak for several hours to allow the plastic to absorb the dye.
After two hours we were left with a brilliant vibrant red finish.
Beginning in March 2023 we began to carry Lava Red as a standard color option for the Super Scorcher MK1 Not A Flamethrower.
We made sure that Petr’s custom red was a distinct different shade than the one we typically offer (the Lava Red shells are red from the factory made using red plastic pellets during the injection molding process).
